The job in a nutshell

We are looking for a general manager to join our restaurant team. The purpose of this role is to oversee the daily operations of a busy restaurant. This includes managing staff, ensuring high levels of customer service, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and ensuring that all food and drink orders are prepared and served to the highest standards. The Restaurant Manager is also responsible for creating and maintaining a positive and professional work environment that promotes teamwork and employee satisfaction.

 

You’ll spend time on the following

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including staffing, inventory management, and financial management.
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff, including servers, and kitchen staff.
  • Ensure that all staff are providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food and drink preparation and presentation.
  • Ensure that the restaurant is always clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Create and implement standard operating procedures to ensure that the restaurant is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Work with the restaurant’s ownership to create menus, specials, and promotions that will attract customers and increase revenue.
  • Monitor food and drink costs and adjust prices as necessary to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure that all safety and sanitation regulations are being followed in the kitchen and dining area.
  • Respond to customer complaints and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Create and maintain a positive and professional work environment that promotes teamwork and employee satisfaction.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
